Nave Orión regresa a la Tierra tras su primer viaje experimental

Este viernes, la NASA realizó la primera prueba orbital de la cápsula Orion no tripulada, que realizó un breve viaje recorrido alrededor de La Tierra que se extendió por cuatro horas.
Orión comenzó su vuelo a las 07.05 hora de la costa este de Estados Unidos y regresó se produjo a las 16:30 GMT. La sonda cayó en la costa de Baja California y fue rescatada por buques de la Armada de Estados Unidos.
La nave fue impulsada por un cohete Delta IV, de la compañía United Launch Alliance (ULA) y se elevó hasta alcanzar una distancia mayor a la que actualmente posee la Estación Espacial Internacional (EEI).
Los astrónomos a cargo del proyecto realizaron la misión como una manera de preparación para el programa Apolo, que pretende llevar a los primeros seres humanos, no astronautas de profesión, a Marte en año 2030.
